Tour de Pints is starting at Der Blokken this year and features a ferry ride, two brand new breweries, and Seattle icons.

Full Details (from Seattle Beer Week’s Site):
We begin downtown (or in Bremerton), head south along the SoDo Trail to Georgetown, then climb up to Beacon Hill for a ride through the ID to First Hill. From there we fly down to Montlake, cross the Cut, and catch the Burke Gilman for the final stretch through Fremont and Ballard. It’s a route everyone can do, and we promise you’ll have fun. The pace is easy as always – it’s not at all about speed!

See you at 9:30am in Bremerton (Der Blokken is located a short 5-10min bike ride from the ferry dock) or Noon at Pike Brewing for the Official start!

Stop #1: Pike Brewing Company at Noon
Stop #2: Machine House Brewery at 1:30pm
Stop #3: Von Trapp’s at 3:15pm
Stop #4: Montlake Ale House at 4:45pm
Stop #5: Fremont Dock at 6pm
Stop #6a: Peddler Brewing Company at 7:30pm
Stop #6b: Hilliard’s Beer at 7:30pm

Map Cards, helmet checks, and waivers will be handled at Pike Brewing once again this year. No pre-registration necessary, just show up with yourself, your bicycle, a helmet, and a smile! The helmet check gets your Map Card which shows the route and will include a discount to a local bottle shop! Feel free to join up later in the ride, just find one of us to get your Map Card and join the Tour.

According to the Beard and Stache Fest website, “Participating beards and/or mustaches will be a part of a team of five, and their pictures will be displayed on individual donation cans at select locations. So, if you can commit to having your picture displayed on a donation can to benefit an awesome foundation (I know, you think you’re not photogenic, but believe us… we think you’re adorable) then you are a perfect candidate. Plus, if your donation can (or your team of collection cans) collects the most donation money there will be wonderful prizes!”

Mexican Chocolate Stout

Due to popular demand, the Mexican chocolate stout beer is back. It might sound like a strange brew, but it’s delicious. It’s an imperial stout with a winter twist. It combines the delicious flavors of Mexican hot chocolate like cinnamon, vanilla, and chili pepper with the rich coffee and chocolate notes of a stout. The finish has a hint of red chili pepper flavor. It’s not spicy, but it is distinctive. Stop in and try it.

The mission of the U. S. Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Program is to collect new, unwrapped toys during October, November and December each year, and distribute those toys as Christmas gifts to less fortunate children in the community.

Q: Is there a list of toys available to guide me with my donation?
Toys for Tots does not publish a list of appropriate toys to donate. If such a list were created, most would follow it, resulting in a limited selection of items to distribute in each community. We would rather our donors consider what might be an appropriate gift for their own child/relative, purchase the item, and donate to Toys for Tots.

Q: What ages are supported by Toys for Tots?
Most campaign sites are able to assist children up to age 12, but in many local communities, local support is such that the age limit may be extended to 14-16.
